Bending pocket clips
Ok guys I got another question for you, when making your own pocket clips weather there steel or titanium is there a way to bend them like you see on production knives?

With titanium, use an MAPP gas torch and heat the area that you intend to bend to "red-orange" in color. The Ti will bend very easily, it will cool very quickly and hold its new shape.
For tight radius I use an dowel pin as a form. I have reheated the same piece two or three times to reposition it and have never had an problem with it cracking. Brett |
