gear reducer for mill

Hi all, I was wondering if these gear reducers would work for a rolling mill

Nope, they all look like they don't have enough output torque. I didn't see any listing on the first one, but I doubt it has enough.

If you're using a gear reducer for the mill, look for at least 2000 inch pounds of torque. Anything less will leave you frustrated.

They are all too small. You will need about 60:1 reduction. With a 30:1 box, you will need to belt drive at 2:1. This is what I did with mine.

The output torque should be 2000 inlb + range.
