Today I attended the Bay Areas Knife Collecter Association annual show. This show is great. Many of the makers i talked with called it their favorite show they do. Nearly everyone said it meeted their expectations and several said they would do it even if no knives sold because of the fun they were having. There were raffles and door prizes.Awards were given and they even had a forging demonstration put on by the ABS with Red Cyr and another whos name escapes me.I was fortunate to meet some of our fellow TKN members at the show and found them all to be very enjoyable, pleasant and informative, not to mention funny. The knives were quite diverse and most very well done.Nearly everyone i met was very polite and more than willing to let you handle their knives. The show was held at a different hotel due to the old one beign demolished.I found their new venue better than the previous hotel. For those that have never been to this show i would highly recommend it and its still open sunday for those that live close enough.
