Book for a Beginner
Can anyone recommend a book for someone wanting to make a few kit knifes. I'm looking for info like ease of kits and tool that I might need. Which kit would you recommend. I'm interested in the folding type. I will probably be giving them as gifts if I can make somthing that looks decent.
Thank, Steve |

Steve, You might look at the Knifenetwork school. Don Robinson is the instructor. They supply the kit, all the instructions you need with Don online to answer questions and they will provide a tools needed list. Drop Don a quick e-mail and I am sure that he will more than answer all your questions. Instead of a book...You get Don and ALL his years of knowledge, PLUS a finished knife when class is done. Just a thought. Merle

If you have time, you might browse through the knife kits forum. Lots of good info there, and if you change the display settings down in the bottom left of your screen, you can see the older threads as well. http://www.knifenetwork.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=19
