Hey Hammer,

If it's any consolation, I tested a peice of one rail at work at it ran about 60-65C rockwell before a temper. That is not to say that all bed rails are made of such material but hey, for the cost why not try a few?

The last couple of peice I used came out with an interesting pattern after an etch as well, almost like some of the shear steel we have all seen lately but not as profound. I think it's one of those things that is kind of off and on, sometimes you get a chunk that is real good stuff and sometimes you get cr#$, but again........for the cost why not?

Last week parts of N. Carolina had as much as 14 inches of that white stuff and several locations in north Georgia had better than 4 inches----- ---Sandy---

I have found that the older ones are better (the ones that lock into the wood frames instead of the ones with the notches and the pins).

Dang, wish we had snow, am over due in mowing the lawn here in Puget Sound, I hate mowing ever since I was a kid.

If I were one of the mororhome retired, I'd have a Chia pet with grass growing on it and mow it with scissors.

I have too much fun in the shop to be "Motor Home Retired", just an old retired maintenance man here in Kingston WA.

Gene, I'll put gas in my rider if you'll do the mowing. The last couple weeks here for the biggest part have been in the low 60's, sun shinning and a slight breeze. There saying we are down on our rainfall for the month but since it normally don't stop raining until August I'm sure it will make up for it. Its just beautiful today.....
