The plans got pushed to the back burner in the heat of "The Blade Show rush". Once the show is over my intent is to get back on them, and hopefully have them ready by the end of June. I'll keep everyone updated on how its going.

Hi Mr. Caffrey! I just ordered a KMG yesterday and I also ordered the wheels and tooling arm that I need for your platen. I plan to purchase a platen from you soon after I save up a little more money. The only thing I'm wondering about is- what will it take for me to modify the tooling arm?
I don't have a mill but I do have a metal cutting band saw, grinder, drill press and a bunch of hand tools. Will I be able to do this myself or will I need to get some help?
Thanks!

To modify the tooling arm, you need a 3/4" drill bit, a 1/2" drill bit, 3/8" drill bit, and a 5/16'" (and a way to use them), a metal cutting bandsaw (preferably with a 1/2" blade), and a 3/8-16 tap.

With each set of plans or platen, I ship a template along with it that you can cut out and lay on the tooling arm to locate all the holes/cuts. When you put the platen together with the KMG, I'll bet your gona love it!
