software for viewing pictures

I know we had this discussion a number of years ago but I am hoping that there is more out there now in terms of software. What I would like to do is have the pictures I take with th Nikon D50 go directly to my monitor screen. Right now I need to take a bunch of pictures then download them to the computer then process them with the Adobe Elements software. I am sure such software exists. Can anyone point me int he right direction.
Thanks for the help
Steve

Here's a possibility but it appears Nikon has abandoned the D50 as regards 'tethered shooting' which is what you're describing: http://www.diyphotobits.com/2008/05/...ipt-for-nikon/

Apple doesn't support the D50 either. Might be time for a new camera.

Hi Steve,

I just did a Google search and learned a lot. The top few links have quite a bit of info, but you DO need to explore in depth.

Click here for Google Search on Nikon tethering software

Canon includes this software in our bundles. Nikon makes it harder and costly, but they've got alternatives.

Thanks Guys
Now that I know what it is called I will take a good look. I don;t think a new camera is in the budget though.
