Memorial Weekend Ceremony
Hi guys,
For those of us who aren't going to Blade there are various actvities that need attending. One of them is a Memorial Weekend Ceremony at Fair Park (Texas State Fair Grounds) that includes the Traveling Memorial Wall. I helped in the seup process and will be part of the ceremony on Saturday. I have a few pics from the setup and I thought I'd share a couple of the shots. I will post more if you guys are interested. Here is one from the Golde Dog Tag display. Each tag honors a service member who has made the ultimate sacrifise since 1980 through Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. Here is a close up: Here is on side of the 9/11 Memorial: Here is one of he Korean War boards: Here is part of the crew setting up the Traveling Wall. It is a 50% model of the Viatnam Wall made from laser engraved anadised alumunim. Here's a shot of most of it was setup: Here are our supervisoers hard at work: Jim __________________ I cook with a flair for the dramatic, and depraved indifference to calories |

Even those of us who don't want to be part of the new socialist America still honor and respect those who have fought for their country. That includes those that are still fighting - including a couple of kids from my neighborhood. God bless them for their sacrifice.
