Fisher and Norris anvil

I found a 1922 150# Norris and Fisher anv for sale. Asking price is $475. I offered $300 as long as it has a good rebound. It's in really good shape. Anyone ever own, use or see an anvil like this? Thoughts? Opinions?

Generally, they are well thought of, especially those with the eagle on the side. In good shape like your picture they will bring $3/lb. These anvils have cast iron bases and a hard steel face so they don't ring loud like most anvils but they still have good rebound. Some guys will lots of different anvil experience say these feel different but they will last forever if not abused and there's nothing wrong with the performance. If you can get it around $300 it would be a steal ......

Consider it stolen! He accepted the offer. Looks like I'm the new owner! My wife is gonna kill me, just got 2 UPS notifications that a couple packages have been delivered today. And now I'm coming home with this beauty! Guess a trip to the jewelry store is in my future....

Thanks guys. Been searching high and low. Tough to find a nice anvil that someone is willing to sell at a reasonable price. I've seen lots of rusted crap that people want $4-5 a pound! With busted hardies and broken horns! I'm happy the search is over. But I'll still keep my eyes open
