Question microscope to sweden

Dear Knifemaking and engraving friends,

Me and my wife are going to buy a microscope to use for our engraving sessions at home. We have both taken the GRS engraving class here in Sweden. I (Anders) have taken the class with Sam Alfano as leader and my wife had Chris DeCamillis as leader.

As so many other engravers/knifemakers we do not have that much money to spend on equipment so we do not have the funds to buy the GRS scope that was used in the course.
We have read a lot of threads here on this nice forum about microscopes and as we can see it, many of you engravers out there are using either the OM99 V6 or OM2300 JW11, microscope from microscope.com. These microscopes are both within our budget frame. Whith one do you recomend for us to buy.
And are there anything that we need to think about(the scope are beeing shipped to Sweden) before we make the purhase?? electric source(sweden and USA do not have the same range of volt)?? Maby we need something else??

We will be most greatful for all help concerning this matter!!!

Regards Anders and Pernilla Hedlund, Sweden

Anders and Pernilla, I have been using the OM99 for four years and fid it to be a very good scope-the folks at the microscope store are great to work with-I use the 12 watt ring light. I also have the Barlow .5 bottom lense-I think i will order the .75 so I can blow things up larger-not so much for enraving but to play-Good luck Fred

thank you

Dear Fred,
Thank you for your kind help!
We will order the same scope that you work with and we will add the 12w light ring and the barlow lens too. It is a lot of money but it is half the price of what the GRS scope goes for here in Sweden.

Regards Anders and Pernilla
