Exclamation Introduction

Hello. I just thought I'd take some time to introduce myself, as I plan on spending a lot of time on this board.

My name is Jon. I'm a soldier in the U.S. Army. I'm currently deployed overseas in support of the GWOT. I'm currently learning to make knives with Charlie Ochs. (www.oxforge.com)

We have a decent little shop set up. Our commander is also a student of Charlie's, and brought his "deployment forge" with him. It also helps that our maintenance shed already has a Bader BIII, along with drill press, vices, files, etc. I have one picture up of my first eight finished knives, if you want close ups just let me know!

Thanks for all of the great information I've already gleaned, and I look forward to learning lots from ya'll in the future.

v/r
Jon

Jon
Welcome to the forum. I have seen many photos of Charlies knives. Sounds like you have a better setup overseas than a lot of folks here. Have fun making knives and be safe.

Regards Bob
