What do you take to a show?

Do any of you have a "packing list" for shows? We have a list of about 20 things to check off as we're packing. It helps a lot to get there with everything we need. I'll post that list soon, gotta get this on here before I forget, I've been meaning to do so for days. Nite.

That's quite a list, Don.
I'll add two more items:
- pouches or sheaths for knives sold
- another knowledgeable family member to staff table while you browse around the competition and suppliers

Great lists, guys.

We also take some masking tape for whatever. A receipt book comes in handy at times.

Another item to have is a little Leatherman-type tool in your luggage. Or a full-size one.... I tried to screw in a bolt, on a suitcase that was coming apart, with a pocket knife once in Paris. It closed on my finger and I had a heck of a cut to enjoy for a week while at the show and sightseeing. A little pair of pliers/screwdriver would have saved me that problem.

I take Alka Seltzer, asprins, etc. Even some candy, snacks, to take to the show to nibble on. M & M's at the show are pretty expensive! As you may know, the hotel inOrland was willing to sell you a bottle of water in your room for $5. (No, i'm not cheap!)

It also is wise to take a large suitcase, since some times/most times you buy materials and need the space to bring stuff home.

Hope I didn't duplicate anything in the suggestions above. Too long of a list to remember everything. A list definately helps.

well some of the stuff I take is not on the appoved practices for your religion so I better leave them off!!!!

However, I have found I ALWAYS take too many clothes and not enough knives!
I do take a parts kit for any problems that I might encounter at the show, including people bringing me older folders that need to be taken apart, cleaned and lubed.
Another REALLY important thing is all your medications (age related!!!) and COMFORTABLE shoes.

I dont get all dressed up like Steve (EVER!) so shorts and a tshirt and Im good to go!
Duct tape is always included, but usually just so I can loan it to the Strider guys!
Always bring my SureFire to make sure I dont shoot my friends in the middle of the nite!!!

Thanks, Tom.

Good additions to the list.

Hey, I'm not the only one who reads this. What might be a necessity for you, but perhaps not me, could possibly help someone else out. Don't be afraid to list legitimate "needful things. Remembering, of course that this is a "G" rated forum..... (Uh, oh, what've I done!) - lol

More knives just might be the best suggestion yet! Shorts, hmmmm.... However, when your legs are as white as mine are it's more polite to keep them covered. But, we went to a water park today and they're, for some reason, all RED!

actually, like the list above, I have a big pile of things to bring, but the most important things are comfortable shoes and some breath mints!!

I just take a large box of Kleenex...........cause I'm crying a river over all the great knives that I can't afford to take home with me.

It also help control the drooling!

One more item.......

Do NOT forget to take any types of medications you may need.
It is really a bummer to go to a great show, of any type, only to have to rush arround trying to get perscriptions called in and get needed refills.

Excellent point. The right personal prescription meds in your suitcase could make or break a trip.

Thanks!
