Here are a couple I recently made. The fringed one is deer rawhide over vegetan.

I like them both. I really like the rawhide sheath and the guard on the second knife. I know that this is a sheath thread, but how about a look at the second knife outside the sheath. To me that view gives me an idea how the maker of the sheath dealt with various aspects of fitting the sheath to the blade, but I really want to see the knife.

I'll second that. You can't tease us with the handle and guard and not show the entire knife! |

I made the knife with the fringed sheath, but the other was made by Kyle Wilyard, one the best knife, and sword makers working in 18th c. styles. I don't have a photo of it, but take a look here, you won't be sorry. http://www.olddominionforge.com/

Absolutley beautiful work. I am particularly taken with the first photo, both knife and sheath. You have given both pieces a true period flavor with out the usual rough and tumble, unfinished look that so many period style pieces have. I applaud your talent, my friend.

I echo what Mr. Paul has said. As someone who works mostly in frontier style knives and sheaths, it's always nice to see what others do working in the same style, and your work looks very nice indeed.Very nice work!!
