Engraved Beautiful Steve Fecas Folder.....

Steve Fecas ( South Carolina ) and I go back a long, long way....back when I was a full time knifemaker in the early 70's. After the Atlanta Show...Steve sent me the bolsters for two of his folders. The one in the photo below is number two. Steve does a beautiful job on his folders and it is a pleasure to work on such quality. This style of engraving is not a style that I normally do but, it seemed it would work well with the Mother of Pearl.
Any question....just ask.
Jim

Oh yeah, that's what I'm talkin' bout!

Jim, there's a point where everyday engraving crosses over into something more akin to sculptural art. You have taken a common engraving theme to that realm.

I'd try to use some flowery adjectives like flawless and impeccable to describe your technique and execution, but I think instead I'll just say, "That should be on money dude!"

chiger,

Jim, it does go well with the pearl and the the flow of the scroll is very natural looking at the same time. A super design on a nice folder.

What a beautiful folder.. Jim, your work on this one is suberb. The design fits the area so well.. I'm a fan of Steve's knives too. Quite a few that I see are slender in shape, with longer blades.. A big plus for me... Thanks for posting this one..Best, Rich
