finishing engravngs. How do you all finish your engraving?

I use Rustoleum flat black for the background then

I mask of the engraving and blast the work with superfine glass beads. This give the steel a right frosty look. Polished gold line inlays look great against the blasted engraving.
The engraved design and shading are then gone over lightly with Winsor&Newton lamp black color. This is super ground pigment the will get into the smallest cuts.

For French Gray I take off the bluing with a small paint brush then run it under hot
water and dry good with a towel. Then I rub the design down with a red pearl eraser. II then mask off the background and gold inlays with Prepared Frisket paper. I is one mil acetate self adhesive and very easy to cut. Then I bead blast it and get the nice bright frosty looking finish. This is my favorite French Gray treatment.

Lets her from some of you guys on how you finish your engravings.
