Authentic Randall on eBay?
OK, so I don't claim to be an authority on Randall's, but I've seen enough of them to know if something is different. Let us know what you think of this one.

Appears to be a Model 15 airman. What do you think of the acorn nut on the tang, and the color of the spacers? Altered? Kit knife? I don't see a kit mark on the blade.
This may be legit, just caught my eye. Sorry for my ignorance if they are options that I don't know about. If so, a teaching moment.
Regards, Sam

I have NEVER seen that spacer color/configuration before, OR a tang nut like that......and the stamp seems mighty far down the blade!

Good point on the stamp Bill.
Scott, if you read this post, what say you about it?

Looks 100% legit to me...
fibers are one of the current knife makers favorite style he liked to use when we had an extra knife or two for stock..
also, the nut looks like it was rounded off by accident..still happens today, but we switch them out before shipment so you'll be able to tighten the handles as the shrink due to weather changes..

Good to know Scott. As to the stamp location on this knife, assuming it's an Airman, it seems to be further down the blade. I seem to remember in Pete Hamilton's book, the knife blade at the time of stamping is placed in a jig corresponding to the model, in the stamp press to create consistency in location?
Sorry about my ignorance Scott, just trying to make sense of knives out of the norm.
Thanks, Sam
