All NEW from Randall Made Knives

Scott Maynard sent me these images of two new offerings from the Randall shop. The "Copper Companion" with a new blade grind and the "Mini 27" with a 25 style handle and both are available with COPPER hardware! For now these are the only knives available with copper and the center section of the mini 27/25
is exclusively green micarta. These newest Randall knives are available for order from the shop or any Randall authorized dealer.

Well, that IS something new. Copper is lovely, though soft. I've heard it is not necessarily easy to work with...durable? Still, with this look including the spacers and color coordinated handle, it will probably be exhibition material... and it is probably going to become a must have for a lot of collectors. Thanks for posting Rick. Regards

Hi Rick!

Thanks for posting these Randalls.

Copper sure makes for great looking knife hilts and handles. The colour is stunning!

I've noticed that other knifemakers like Behring Made have also been using copper on their knives. Here's an example from their website of one called a Sambar Stag Drop Point:

Cheers!

David

Like stated by Jacknola is it a exhibition or presentation "look" or does it have the robust like qualities of lets say brass ? On second though this application of copper has the look of bronze that Bo Randall used on the early fighters he made ....... I have two model ones ..... One from the year I was born 1953 six inch blade and one I bought new six inch also ..... If bronze was available for the hilt I would have gone for that in a heart beat !
