Need help identifying a WW2 knife
Gang, I need your help identifying a WW2 knife my great uncle brought back from the war. It appears to be a military dagger with a blade approximately 8 inches in length. It has a wood handle and a leather sheath. On the blade, near the trigger guard is stamped a design which looks like a coat of arms shield. Inside the shield is the name "J. Delaird" or "J. Delaire" written diagonally from bottom left to top right. To the right of this name is the design of a crown. To the left is another decorative design. Can anyone help?
Thanks |

Interesting. Any way you could scan a pic with close-ups of the marks? Sound like it may be French.
