A New Classic

Haven't made a modern style like this since 1990. I wasn't sure if I still could. Stock removal Randall inspired style with a 1/8" x 1" x 5" distal tapered blade of 01, nickel-silver solderless guard, and Sambar stag grip. Oven HT'ed, quenched in Parks AAA, and tempered to about 58 Rc. Hope you enjoy a look.

really nice looking hunting knife.
I have never used O1 steel, what finish or grit did you use
on the blade. Great to see your work.

This one is a 220 grit field finish. It was polished with a 240 grit slack belt, then hand chased with 220.

With every custom knife I build I try to accomplish three things. I want that knife to look so good you just have to pick it up, feel so good in your hand you can't wait to try it, and once you use it, you never want to put it down !
If I capture those three factors in each knife I build, I am assured the knife will become a piece that is used and treasured by its owner!
