its nice i really like it. good job. does the ferric chloride etch the O1 and make it black? or was that something else you did?

The knife looks very good but appears blunt in the picture. Shouldn't there be a point on it?

Also, I know this is your first picture so you're still learning but you need to learn to crop your picture. Cut out all that huge background space around the knife. This makes the picture smaller and faster to load and it also directs the viewer to the subject rather than to your bedspread.

Finally, put the picture in your post by using the IMG button rather than by providing a link to it. That way, we get to see the picture without opening a new window and running off somewhere else on the internet. Like this:

Thanks Guys!
yup it's the ferric chloride that makes it black.
I never like to put sharp points on my knives, allways worried someone might poke themselves shoulda used a backround without holes in it!
I tried to crop the picture but it kept saying the photo was to small. Also thanks for reposting the image, and the IMG tip I couldnt figure that out for the life of me!

I understand about the safety issue and putting a point on the average knife. On the other hand, that's a dagger you have there. Isn't being able to poke something with it sort of the whole idea of it's design?

Ray, I believe he's joking. The point is simply sticking through a hole in the background material.

That's OK, I was poking fun too. The only way to make a safer knife than that would be to put a handle on a large ball bearing!

Great knife, I like the black O1.

A "safe" knife, I bet Hillery would love that one!!!
