Friction Folder Pivot Screws

Hello Folks,

Let me ask a different question this time.

Looking at the following web page which pivot screw should I uset to make a friction folder with. I would like to make a model with a frame. Any other information about the construction layout would be appreciated. Thanks

Depends on the size of folder you want to make but for most normal sized friction folders I'd probably use the 1/8" or 3/16" barrel pivot. Don't sweat it too much, the pivots are cheap, buy some of each one that seems likely. It will make more sense when you have them in hand and if you continue to make folders you'll eventually use any of those on that page ...

I am hoping to start on my first folder in the next couple weeks so I had the same question a couple weeks ago. Like ray said they are cheap so I got a pretty good assortment of screws and pivots using Don Robinsons recommendation. I'm sure there's going to be some things I wish I would have got but at least I'll know what I need for my next order but it seam to be a really good start.

I'd like to see this one when you get done. I like the idea of non traditional friction folders.
