Where to Get Leather Sheath Supplies

Hello Everyone,

Would any of you have any suggestions on where I can find leather and related tools and supplies for making sheaths? I've found Tandy Leather (tandyleather.com) and was wondering if there were other sources.

Thanks!

-Pete

Shefield Knife Supply has a good selection of leather and leather working stuff.

Muir & McDonald have the best prices on good quality leather that I've found. 503-623-2428. They are good to work with as well.

Pete:
I don't know where you are located but you might try finding a local muzzle loading club. They usually have what's called a rendezvous every year where buckskinners buy, sell, and trade everything from raw leather to snake skins! Our rendezvous here in S. GA usually always has suppliers in leather at great prices. Good luck...

Good Idea!

Kvistads,

I live in the SF Bay Area of CA. I know of some cowboy action shooting clubs so hopefully there'll be some muzzle loading clubs as well. Thanks for the tip!

Best Regards,
Pete

www.justleather.com sells all sorts and grades of leather, from what i've seen, at about 50% of what Leather Factory and Hidecrafters do.

Fair warning, they are primarily an uphosterer's supplier, plain hides are hard to come by there, but they do have mahogany, British tan, and black.
