Damascus Drop Point Hunter

That one has been sitting on my bench for two months. I'm finally able to work on my knives again although my right hand is still only half-usable since the table saw accident. One of the toughest jobs is trying to thread a needle for leatherwork! My index and middle fingers are so badly gimped I can't hold a needle or thread! But, with perserverance, I managed to put it all together:
Can-welded damascus of 15N20, 1080, 1095 and nickel, six inch blade, 10 1/2 total. The scales are Wenge with brass pins and steel bolsters. I've sold a few hunters lately (I made them like a year ago...), and these can-welded ones always have people ohh-ing.

Hope you like it. Thanks for looking, as always.
Cheers,
Back-in-the-saddle-Chris

Nice knife. I am sorry to hear about your accident. I sure hope as you use your hands the strength and dexterity will get better. I truly wish you the best.

Nice Chris!
Just keep plugging away the fingers will get better the more you use them. Hard to tell they are giving you any problems from what I see.
Nothing like leather work for hand therapy.

That is a sweet damascus pattern and that knife is an interesting design. Very nice job!

Thanks, gents. - Good to hear from you Andy. I know what you mean. I don't make nearly as many knives as I would like to - and i have even less time to hang out at the forum. Dang, why does work have to interfere with my hobbies all the time??
I have a new one in the works, almost finished. I'll post it in the next few days. It's a beauty! I also made a couple of kitchen knives I still need to take a picture of and post, too...
Talk to you soon, and get in there and bang some steel!
Cheers,
Chris
