Send Alex the moderator a private message and he can change your posting rules so you can attach files. That is what he did for me, as I didn't know about it changing after 10 posts

Another Attempt With New instructions

No Paper Clip between Smily & double arrows; No "Manage Attachment" button; not using 'Quick Reply'.

Curiouser and curiouser.

When this issue finally gets resolved I shall show some unique Randalls.

Thanks for help so far.

Who else does not see the aforementioned buttons, and is this
a problem for Macintosh users? On my Mac there are other
sites that I have used the "Manage Attachment" Button.

Peter

Forgive my ineptness but who is Alex and how do I PM him?

Thank you.

Alex is the administrator of the Knife Network

you should be able to send a message to KNAdmin.
I am still trying to figure out how every thing works here myself.
I can attach a photo, but it is only a thumbnail, and I haven't figured out how to get the big photo in with the text yet

Good luck
Peter

I assume that those who are having trouble posting photos are trying to upload the photo to this forum for viewing. I haven't tried to upload a photo and from what I have seen I would probably encounter the same problems others are having. I know if you use a photo hosting service as I do there is no problem as I have been able to post photos immediately after I registered.

The manage attachments options that have been described do not show on my pages either.

Yeah, I can post a photo from Photobucket, but nothing using attachments.

I'm just looking to get full functionality here. Hell, I don't actually have any Randalls yet to post pics of, I still have a long wait for my first one to be done.

Randall Wait Time

Seems like eternity , you can always check ebay and some of the Randall dealers, you most likely will pay a little more but it may give you that fix to tide you over until your ordered one comes in

Photobucket is what i use...

Can someone please explain to me why it says this is the new home of knife talk forums but knife talk forum is still operating and so is another forum that has a lot of people that were previously on knifetalk forums. I\'m new to Randall knives I just got my first one and the whole collectors group falls apart.

Welcome to knifenetwork Fenman. Rather than "the whole collector group falling apart", I would argue that, with at least four separate forums dedicated to Randall Made knives, the hobby is thriving. A lot of folks visit and contribute on more than one site and all are welcome here. As for the name of this thread, I direct you to the initial posting on page one of this thread.

Rick, I concur with you. Randalls are like fine dining, there are more than one Michelin
3-Star fora. Meet more interesting folks.

Raise our Randall blades lads and tally ho!

[Still cannot up load my pictures. and will not let photos on
upload sites for plagiarism. ]

Thanks for that, there is another new one, that started just before the RKS closed,
http://www.bobknifeforum.com/phpbb/index.php it has a lot of members from Knifetalk and a lot of the same moderators.

Is someone planning a new Randall Collectors Group?
