Hi David

It says I may not post attachments for some reason.
That is a terrific knife and I do like the handle material

Quite right Rick! They are leaves from a Canadian Sugar Maple. They go well with a sweet knife.

Peter thanks, I thought you jsut might like it.

Unfortunately I don't know why you are unable to attach a photo. Please send a PM to Alex Whetsell KNAdmin explaining you problem and I'm sure he will get you fixed up.

Cheers!

David

Moosehead,

Peter mentioned that he "MAY NOT post attachments", which is the same level of permissions I have listed in the "Posting Rules" box too. Will he still be able to post pictures that way then?

ETA: Oops, I missed this page before I posted, but I still wonder if not allowing attachments is S.O.P. for new guys? Maybe that question could be answered by an Adminstrator?

Finally surfaced from parts unknown to discover that the RKS has shed its METAL COIL.

Oh, well, as Hericlitus said, among many things, 'everything flows'. I hope that
the many Randall brethren I have made such as Tom, Dale, Tony, etc. will gather
here at "Calahan's Cross Time Randall Saloon" whose motto is "Time travelers strictly
cash'.

And where is the irrepressible Dubie?

I shall always cherish my RKS membership #5384
and SHAG #14.

In the words of the immortal Scarlett Ohara, "Tomorrow is another day".

Blades Up, mates.

Tom, I wonder who else of our 'elite' SHAG members are out there.

It will be most
interesting to see who comes in the door to Callahan's Place - [Spider Robinson],
where " ...The bar is run by Mike Callahan. The regulars are welcoming and willing to listen to any visitor's problems, no matter how strange, but do not snoop if a visitor is unwilling to share. Strange and unusual events and visitors turn up with frequency in the stories. Regulars at Callahan's include a talking dog, several extraterrestrials and time travelers, an ethical vampire, a couple of Irish mythological beings, and an obscenity-spewing parrot. - WIKI"

I lament the loss of information and pictures that RKS forum accumulated. Edo's
collection, Tony's, etc. Just because they closed the library did they have to burn the
books?

In keeping with the atrocious punning ( my kind, of course ) of Callahan's, perhaps
we can bartend and tell SHAGgy stories and liven things up so that when
time-travelers from RKS dimension show up we share old stories
when the "Lady Slings the Booze". [ Do not blame me, its Spider Robinson's fault. ]

Best, my fellow shaggy friend.

Trying to Post Picture

Instructions say that in "additional options" there is a button
for uploading photos.

My glasses may need changing but I cannot find it no matter where I look
or what area I click.

Please help the dummy.

Thanks

Welcome Peter63! We're glad to have you aboard!

Hi Topos!! My "instructions" are wrong! There is no longer an "additional options" button.

I sent you a PM with "new and improved" instructions, which should work.

I will update the instructions to reflect the changes.

Sorry for the confusion folks.

Cheers!

David

Thank you, David. As the old 1940's expression said "I may be stupid, but
I am not crazy".

Oh, please see that the sub-windows come up on
a Macintosh. On some sites, that no longer get visited, they said " just
use a PC."

Still Searching :)

David,

In your new instruction set for single images "2. Click Manage Attachments. (The button located below the text window)." I still see NO button."

I know there is an evil elf that is vexing me and my computer.

I do not upload my photos to 'the cloud'. Guess it is a residue from
my previous life in computer security.

But I shall persevere and eventually get to show some of my classic Randalls.

Best.

Hi folks!

I'm sure Topos would appreciate it if any of you Mac users could lend a hand in explaining how you attach images to your posts.

I'm afraid that the only apple products I'm familiar with are the edible kind.

Thanks very much!

Cheers

David

Topos and David

After 10 posts you will be able to attach a photo to your post, this is to prevent spammers.
I did not know this until I heard from Alex
