Two New Folders
Here are two new "Navajas" I recently finished. Four inch, file worked blades of 1/8" thick 440C stainless steel. Nickel Silver liners, bolsters and pins. Coin silver escutcheons from a 1928 twenty centavo piece. The first knife has a carved, one-piece handle of very old paper based Ivory Micarta. The second knife has a three piece handle of Yucatecan Red Deer and Yucatecan Guayucan (Lignum Vitae) separated by carved Nickel Silver. Each one is in a multi-layer, molded goatskin leather sheath, with a belt loop.
Thanks for looking. J JDWARE KNIVES |

Thanks for the compliments guys. I enjoy doing the file work Dwane. I recently did some vine file work on a 3'16" thick folder blade using the same spacing as for a thinner blade, and the result was very sculptural. I'll post some pics of it.
