A Great Loss To The Custom Knife Community

Hello All,

I just recently heard early this morning that Gary Shaw, long time Custom Knife Purveyor passed away yesterday afternoon due to a long time illness.

Gary was an extremely knowledgable and well regarded individual that specialized in the Custom Knife Industry. He was a permanent fixture at most of the high profile custom knife shows and a long time Knife Maker's Guild Member.

Please include Gary and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Bob, I have met and spoken to Gary at a number of shows and I know he will be missed. Do you have any more information?

As per an email from Steve and Karen Berg, there will be a small prayer service on Wednesday evening at the Vorhees Funeral Home, 59 Main Street, Ridgefield Park, NJ, 07660. Gary will be cremated so there will not be a burial. Steve will be leading the
traditional Jewish funeral prayers. Grazyna would appreciate any message of sympathy you might wish to extend. Feel free to call Steve and Karen Berg at 718 382-4847 for more information.

It was always good to see Gary and Grazyna at shows. They both attended the Denver Show frequently. Gary was a terrific resource and helped me a number of times.
