Ingredients: O-1, paracord, kydex and eyelets
Just finished this one up last night for a customer.. Tried something a bit different with the kydex sheath... belt loop is molded right in the back panel and the back panel is flat.. front side of the sheath is molded over the knife.. Hope you like it. Let me know what you think.

Very nice! You don't see many, if any, bowies getting that type handle treatment. Unique is a good way to describe.

I like the way it looks. Explain what you mean by the back flap being molded into the back panel. How do you do that?

Jerid, Really nice package and I love the blade. Could you show us a pic of the back of the sheath to let us see what you mean by it being molded in the back.
Thanks Jim |

Thanks for the compliments.
Here ya go.. Hopefully you can see what I mean... I basically just made the belt loop from the back piece fo kydex and did not mold the back piece over the blade... only the front piece is molded to the blade.. |

That's a great looking knife! Simple and sweet!
Question: I've seen a lot of turks head knots on knives and swords, but I've never seen a pic of the other side--where it fastens. How is it closed on the back side, and how do you keep it in that spot, rather than it loosening and sliding about? If you you could show a pic of that, it would help me understand. __________________ Andy Garrett https://www.facebook.com/GarrettKnives?ref=hl Charter Member - Kansas Custom Knifemaker's Association www.kansasknives.org "Drawing your knife from its sheath and using it in the presence of others should be an event complete with oos, ahhs, and questions." |

The other side of the knot looks exactly the same.. Once you finish weaving the knot and tighting it you cut the ends and tuck them inside the knot out of sight.. Then I use a very fine CA (super glue) to harden and attach the knot to the rest of the handle wrap.. The turks head knot gets very tight when done right.. Some dental tools work great to work the weave tighter and tighter.. |
