mild steel cutting edge

Ouch. I messed up. I welded a mild steel edge (mismarked 01) into a cable
damascus "body" and made a pretty good (looking) tomahawk. My questiion
is: Is there any was to make this thing serviceable (brine quench, super
quench, etc.) or is it a lost cause?

Thanks,

John

John, mild steel is low carbon and thus, not hardenable. No reason it wouldn't make a very fine wall hanger, though.
