What would you call it?

Here is a knife I just finished for the upcoming Canadian Knifemakers Guild show this weekend but I am not sure what you would call it? It is 14 1/2" overall with a 8 1/2" blade and 6 inch handle. The blade is random pattern damascus as is the guard. The handle is tulip wood with mosaic pins.
Thanks for looking.
Steve

I would call it a VND (very nice dagger)

I like the symetrical effect between the handle and the blade.

I would call it the Gannet. The gannet is a seabird with a very long bill, and broad wings. The guard reminded me of a picture I once saw of a gannet in flight, with wings outstretched, getting ready to dive into the ocean after a fish.

I am with Armory414 my first thought on the guard was "wings". Very interesting choice having the edges of the guard go back instead of forward, I have never seen that done before. My thoughts definitely revolve around some sleek bird.

Names and more

Hello Steve,

The shape and design of this new knife of yours does stir one's
imagination. The feeling of movement is really strong. I saw the
word "Glide" the moment I set eyes on this design......
