Precise Deerslayer
Hey guys, I'm wondering if someone remembers these knives and has one that I can see some pictures of. I had one that my father got somewhere but I lost it about 10 years ago.
I guess there were a few versions, folder and fixed blade. The one that I had was a fixed blade, hidden tang skinner with brass bolsters and a screw-on brass pommel. The only pictures I can find are of the folder and a full-tang fixed blade version on a Japanese auction site. I can't recall the handle exactly, but I'm sure that the one on the auction site is not very similar to the hidden-tang one that we had, it also looks like the qaulity is a bit lower on the one on that site. I don't know much about the quality of these knives as I never did manage to skin anything with it and didn't know as much at the time anyways, but I really liked the feel and balance of it and I think I'd like to attempt a clone so I'd like to get some pictures if possible. Anyone know the knife I'm talking about or where I can get some pictures of it? Thanks a million, __________________ Cap Hayes See my knives @ knives.caphayes.com This quote pains me: -- "Strategically placed blood grooves control blood spray in covert deanimation activities." -- |

Geez, did Precise name all their models "Deerslayer" haha. I found about five different looking folders by the same name. No fixed blades yet.

Yeah, I guess it was a popular name lol, must be something about slaying a deer with a 3" blade...
I've hunted around for a it a few times in the past and started looking again today, I have yet to find the one that I had before. __________________ Cap Hayes See my knives @ knives.caphayes.com This quote pains me: -- "Strategically placed blood grooves control blood spray in covert deanimation activities." -- |
