1st Knife - Thanks Mike Koller!!

I finally finished my first knife and I would like to thank Mike Koller for letting me come to his shop and taking up two days learning the basics. It really helps to have someone there to ask questions as you go.

The knife is about 7 inches long and the handle is cocobolo.

Now I have to buy a grinder !!

Excellent first effort!. If you want some real encouragement, look up the CKD thread of first knives that occurred several months ago. You're way ahead of the pack!

Mark, excellent knife. What's the blade material?

Thanks for all of the support. I am new so I am not sure what specs you may be asking for. Mike gave me some O1 steel to work with - I was orgin. working with a lawnmower blade and that was slow!! The handle is cocoblo with two mosic pins, knife is about 8'' over all. Blade is about 4" and handle is about 4". If I was going to do it over I would make the handle just a smige longer.
