52100
ive forged out some bearing races into flat bars ready to use and i was wondering how do i normalise them to prepare for heat treating,assuming they are 52100.

If you are just going to forge the blades out don't bother until you have the blades forged. If you want to go ahead and do stock removal, I would heat the blades until non-magnetic, keeping the heat in the forge as low as possible, and then allow the steel to air cool. I would do that for three cycles to allow for stress relief and to correct any grain growth.
