40 Cp??
Anybody used any of this? Any info out about it? It is supposed to be a particle version of 440C - at least that's what the manufacturer data sheet said. Has a little lower Austenizing temp than 440C but similar tempering. Pop has some....I forgot the manufacturers name.

For the most part a powder metal version of 440C. If you like 440C you'll like this more ! |

Thanks, Mete. I bookmarked that one.
Now that Crucible has more or less melted it's great to see Carpenter get into the game. |

www.nsm-ny.com . This company with long time association with Crucible will be rolling to knife sizes and SELLING various Crucible knife type steels ! This begins next month ! So don't give up on Crucible.Of course they never made a CPM version of 440C.
