OOPs I might have bought this.

Decided I wanted a more versatile grinder. So I bought this one.

There were 2 in my price range. The first was a pheer 427, I was really wanting variable speed, but didn't like the tool rest or the 1 hp motor. So I went with this one. I really like the platen and tool rest design. It will sit next to the coote that I like alot, but it lacks versitilty. I will add variable speed and a 2 inch platen as soon as I can. Not alot on the net about this particular grinder so I will do a review when it arrives.

Looks like a decent grinder - your Christmas just keeps going and going and going.....like the Ever Ready bunny.

If you can add an 8 or 10" contact wheel and a small wheel attachment to that you'll have a darned nice set up ...

Ya, I guess Christmas came again. lol But I had to sell something else to get the grinder. Oh well, i will use the grinder much more. I have a 10 inch wheel on the Coote grinder so my next grinder need will be the small wheel for handles.

You could always buy the small wheel attachment and arm from usaknifemaker and modify it to fit the setup you have. I ended up getting a pheer grinder (his beta run. $850 with 1.5 HP motor and a digital vsm control) and with not much more than a drill press I was able to make mine work. Now I just need to get a big wheel to try hollow grinding

You could get a small wheel attachment for the Coote.
