Dust mask/respirator

Has anyone done any reasearch on the quality or particulate size needed to keep steel dust and buffing compounds out of your lungs.

I haven't really researched the question but from what I have seen I believe a 3 micron filter is usually recommended. And forget 'dust masks' - as on fellow said yhey are only good for keeping low flying birds out of your lungs.

You'll need a good respirator. Use the blue Search key at the top of the page to find the threads where we have discussed this important issue before....
