Finally a Completed Project!
Here are some pics of a weekend project on the new press. Starts as some end cuts in my scrap bin....6 layers of alternating 01, L6, 1080, and 1084. Folded in stacks of three after drawing and then later two. Towards the end I cut some grooves in the billets and peened it up a bit to random the pattern. 210 layers in all.
The finished knife has a 3/16" thick blade that is 4.5" long. The guard is NS and it has a sambar handle with ebony spacer and butt. |
