JS test knife Bowie
Hello all
I recieved my American Bladesmith Society Juorneyman rating a couple of weeks ago and this Bowie is one of the knives I submitted for judging. The blade is 9 3/4" in length of 5160 steel. The blade is 1 1/2" wide and 3/16" thick at the ricasso. The blade is distal tapered to the point and balances at the plunge cut. The overall length is 14 3/4". The handle is stabilized curly maple and the fittings are stainless. I wanted to do something different with the sheath so I gave carving a try. This knife has Sold.
