I'm planning on being there. I missed the last one and don't plan on letting that happen again for a long while.

Directions to the meeting - Who is coming?

Hello everyone,

The next meeting of the Georgia Custom Knifemakers' Guild is just around the corner (Saturday October 30). We will have a directors' meeting at 8:30 a.m. with the Guild meeting beginning at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at the shop of Warren Glover in Cleveland, Georgia.

You can get the directions by sending a blank email to: meetings@georgiaknifemakersguild.com

Don?t forget to bring stuff for the Iron in the Hat drawing.

The Scholarship Knife is donated by Stephan Fowler. It is a kitchen knife and he will be posting photos this week.

Who is attending? Please let us know who is planning on attending if you haven?t yet. The head count is needed for planning for lunch.

The Guild meetings are open to the public and are free. Iron in the Hat ticket sales defray the cost of hosting the meeting and covers lunch.

Just a quick note: Chairs and places to sit are limited, bring a lawn chair to ease those aching back muscles around noon.. also provides a lap to hold your food during lunch.

The weather for Sat morning in that part of the world.. frost advisory.. lows of 36 warming to mid to upper 60's.. dry roads and clear skies... it will be a gloriously beautiful day in the foothills.

For those members from the southern part of the state, there is color to the leaves.. well those left after the recent stormy weather.

See ya tomorrow..

It was a great meeting! Well worth the trip to north GA. The demonstrations were interesting and well presented. Warren's shop just needs about 50lbs of dust scattered around to be perfect. I am going to try to post some pictures in the next day or so.
