Cratex rocks!
Very good for fine detail clean up, especially on non-ferrous metals. I haven't tried them on steel. |

If you hear a folder has "jeweled" , or "engine turned" liners, this is usually what they use. Makes swirls overlapped, reflects light, looks cool.

jon, et al - from the website:
. "The abrasive type used in Cratex Rubberized Abrasives is premium-quality Silicon Carbide that has been washed, dried and treated to remove impurities and then carefully screened to U.S. Department of Commerce standards for size. Although silicon carbide is more expensive than other abrasive materials, it is used because it has a high level of purity and has been found to be best for the broadest range of light deburring, smoothing, cleaning and polishing applications on ferrous and non-ferrous alloys as well as many non-metallics, such as glass." . sound as if it should work on almost anything __________________ wayne things get better with age ... i'm approaching magnificent |

Thanks, Wayne.
I've been out of the stuff for a while and have missed it on several bouts of finishing... I'm glad it got brought up so I'll remember to order more... |
