Unique Randall Model 18
Hello! I'm new to this forum and looking for any help I can get. Basically I lucked into what my research leads me to believe is a unique vintage Model 18 knife. I say unique as this is the only one I have seen with a straight back rather than sawtooth. The blade is razor sharp on both sides but appears never to have seen a sharpening. I am looking for any info I can get on either the knife or the sheath or both. Also if someone can tell me how to post pics in this forum I would really like to do so but I can't figure out how. Thanks!⁷

Though unusual, omitting sawteeth from the Randall #18 knife is seen occasionally. It is a special order ("STNST"). Here's a picture of mine:

In my opinion, this knife is more attractive than the sawtooth version. In any case, I don't expect to have to saw my way out of a helicopter!

Hi cut_n_run!
Thanks as well for your input. Unlike Ron's, my knowledge of Model 18's is less than minimal.
Cheers!

My knowledge of the Model 18 began in 1968, when I lost my first one, a Solingen crutchtip. (It was in my Pontiac GTO which was stolen).

I am also new here and found really very useful information regarding all kinds of knifes. Only I have to search for them in this forum.

Cut n run I totally agree with you. The 18 with no saw teeth is a beautiful blade.
