I still have possession of this knife. The auction is a scam:

Thanks Ron!

This is an obvious case of a hijacked eBay account. The poor seller "Brenda" hasn't had a transaction since last May, and probably answered one of those scam emails posing as eBay where one is asked to confirm all their secret information.

The telltale giveaway is the phony "Ask seller a question" button under the description. If one was to use this "SUBMIT" button, the crook would receive one's email, and the legitimate eBay seller ( who is apparently inactive) would never have a clue anyone was fraudulently using their account.

I'm sure you have already notified eBay, and the auction will be soon taken down.

Folks, it is exactly this kind of blatant fraud that I am all in favour of exposing on public forums.

Cheers!

David

Yikes!

The crook has listed the exact same set of seven unique Randalls THREE times!!!

He has done the same thing with all kinds of items on the same hijacked account.

He must really take P. T. Barnum very seriously, because folks can't be that dumb, or can they?

Cheers!

David,
..Apparently folks can be that dumb. They are bidding on it. If you want to at least spoil the criminals fun on this one listing you can bid a million dollars. Then anyone who bids is automatically overbid by your bid. I have been watching Corvettes on Ebay and have seen this method used effectively against scammers a couple of times. The people using this method usually make two bids of a million from different Ebay accounts so that $1,000,000.00 shows as the high bid.

Well folks!

Let's hear it for eBay! All three auctions, plus the two hundred other bogus auctions from the same crook (ranging from home theatre systems to snowmobiles) have been shut down!

This time the low-life, slime eating, scumbag has been beaten. (I hope!)

Jeff and others, I believe that the best way to deal with this kind of obvious fraud is to immediately report the auction to eBay. Just use the "Report this item" link that is at the bottom of every auction. Why expose your own good eBay name to possible trouble by making million dollar bids?

However, I have to admit I had a good laugh seeing one of these auctions hitting over $17,000,000!!!

Cheers!

Moosehead

Moose,
..I used to think Ebay was a good place to buy Randall Knives. All of these scams one after another recently have me thinking that perhaps Ebay is no longer such a good place to buy anything worth more than a few bucks. It would not hurt my feelings one bit if Ebay was to ban me. They have a goose laying golden eggs and they are too greedy collecting their fees to take care of business and listen to what their customers are saying. Methinks the goose will suffer and their fees will soon not be bringing them so much money.
