hollow grind jig
hello all,
I have a jig for hollow ginding for my Bador grinder. I would like to know who makes it and how to contact them to get an arm attachment for my grinder. Bador doesn't have the info i need. it is made of brass and steel and has 2 large brass knobs for adjusting. My searches have been in vane. Thanks jrm |

if it's the unit like Koval sold, be very careful with that thing when you get it running. It will allow a blade to fall between wheel and device. If the sides of the tang you are holding are sharp, it has the potential to rip your hand open when the blade gets caught and jerks.
I set one up for a student who was convinced it was the cat's arse. Our conclusion is that it makes one design knives so they will work in the jig. When he sliced his hand open and had to pay to repair a contact wheel he ripped a hunk out of, he hung it up. I sincerely hope it works out better for you. Please be very careful. Fiddle a lot with tuning in the set up; it makes a big difference. Last edited by fitzo; 05-08-2006 at 07:00 PM. |
