Old western auto supply knife
Found this old western auto supply knife in a tacklebox
It has some pretty bad water damage.. any ideas on how i should restore it? im new to this. |

There's a limit to what you can do with pitting that deep. The handle looks good, so I'd just get the edge cleaned up a bit more and use it like that. You might want to spray it down with some rust preventer that will "kill" the corrosion cells.
If the handle was worse, you could sandblast the blade and coat it with something like Brownell's GunKote or Duracoat. With the original handle, I don't think that's going to come out very well. __________________ God bless Texas! Now let's secede!! |
