Historic Bowie
Recently, I have gotten interested in reproducing knives from Norm Flayderman's book on antique bowies. For the first that I chose to build I picked this one (the original had some serious wear on the blade which I tried to allow for):
After a little magic by Chuck Ward, this is what I came up with: Blade--W2 Handle--fossil walrus (I thought that the old ivory matched what I was trying to duplicate) Fittings--416 (the original had N/S which is no longer available in the thichnesses that were necessary) Let me know what you think.
