Back to the 'titles'...

It's human nature to want to be 'normal', but nobody wants to be 'average'.

I'd suggest some levels of status, starting with a new membership, then possibly growing in stature at a certain number of posts. Some examples:

0-100 Principal Member
100-500 Leading Member
500-1000 Premier Member
1000 + Outstanding Member
3000 + Too much time in front of the computer member..

You get the idea. Also, Moderators and Founding Members are very worthy. Guys? what do you think?

Purple? I thought it was blue gray. More evidence of my color blindness.

Is HTML going to stay off in the personal signature feature?

Titles.... A title according to number of post....My personal opinion is that bites. Lets say Ed,Steve,Don,.... gets ask a zillion ?????? by the same person and they answer them all in one post. Lets see, that happens several times, so the average member is answering questions for the elite members. Hmmm

Just my 2 cents...

Titles?

How about if we're all just "members," or "friends," or "enthusiasts?" Not one of us knows it all......

I like gray colors but it won't kill me to see something other. I just want it to look professional. I read somewhere (Who know where) that gray and maroon made for good "Professional" color combinations for web sites, they may work here as well.

Maybe Ed can come up with a CKD design in damascus and we could use that for the background.

Like the way I volunteered Ed?

I hate to admit it, but I'm starting to get used to the pastel purple. I hope I don't start liking pink.

I've seen damascus backgrounds, and believe me, after a short while it will really start to make your head hurt. The best backgrounds are subtle colors. You don't even realize they are there. It just makes you feel good and you don't even know why.

On colors, my own preference is light pastels as well. If I had a color choice I would include earth tones. Much of the knifeworld is filled with hues of brown and tan. (Bob likes the grey 'handrubbed' finishes!)

I'm getting used to even the purple. I find the upper directory text in black hard to read in contrast--white would be better? I also don't love the grey background in this posting window. I want a clean sheet of white paper for my writing...

I'll enjoy all of this no matter what, but since it's been brought up...
