If you're using a uni-directional heating source, or if your press is made with foam that is broken down (not enough give), this will add to the flattening of the pattern, causing it to shine. The same thing happens to kydex, but having only one texture surface, you don't notice the contrast as much.
PS - Those are excellent sheaths!!! They are first class proof of what Holstex has to offer for those that learn how to work with the material. Well done!!!!
