Had a nice visit with Ed!

Hi guys. I had a chance to visit Ed at his shop on Wednesday. I sort of invited myself but Ed was kind enough to oblige.

We talked about lots of different things, looked at some knives, and I got to check out all of Ed's cool stuff in the shop. I learned some great new heat treating methods in addition to a bunch of other tips and tricks.

Hung out for a bit, met the dogs, then I was on my way.

I wanted to say thanks to Ed for generously sharing knowledge and taking the time to help other makers, especially relative new makers like myself. Thanks Ed!

On another note, Highway 200 between Great Falls and Missoula follows or crosses a river or creek for almost it's entire 160 miles or so. A beautiful drive with almost no houses or developments. It was really hard not to stop at every mile or so and get out my flyrod. But yesterday, I'd had enough and it was hot so I took the afternoon off and went to my favorite local creek and caught about two dozen trout during a nice mayfly hatch.

Hi John!

You very welcome! I very much enjoyed our time together.

Your one of those people who has the potential to go far in the knife world....you have the drive, desire, and most importantly the right attitude.

Just remember....always be yourself, never forget where you came from, and always look at each opportunity as a learning experience (even though some might be pleasant ones)

Hopefully we'll have many more visits!

Thumbs up Yep!

You're a stand up guy, Ed. You've been there for a lot of us here on this forum, as well as
many others, elsewhere.

Dana
