The largest Museum display of any custom knifemaker in the world is that of Lloyd Hale. The Louisville Museum displays three-hundred of his knives. This indian style fighter is unique and demonstrates Lloyd’s ability for file work and knifemaking. The more one studies it, the various indian designs pop out at you, like the tear drop Turquoise surrounded with a tooled Navajo concho design with a feather to the side of it, and Indian patterns used in the extensive file-work throughout. The maroon-colored suede scabbard has furnishings that appear to be sterling Silver. This is an Heirloom dagger.
This is a beautiful set. It includes two bone handled knives. A 6-3/4 inch cleaning knife with gut hook, and a 7 inch caping knife. Both knives are made of 440 stainless steel to give you years of good performance. This set includes a leather sheath that holds both knives.

A hollow grinding jig i'm messing with

This is a grinding jig i'm messing with cause i'm not able to hold a hollow grind well. ALL tubing is one inch square, 0.080 wall. the slots are an O drill bit. The bolts to hold it to the frame are 5/16 diameter. for vertical height adjustment threaded rod is 0.5 in diameter. The first iteration is square tubing the angle iron lays on top of, however the next type may be one inch diameter tubing. the angle iron is 3 inch and heavy wall don't recall what wall thickness, but enough to hold threads for the clamp bar. I've used it on two knives now and making knives is now fun. thanks,

An advertisement for Rob at Beaumont metal work: if you need a tracking wheel get one from these guys. i tried making one work for many years and can't believe the quantum leap in improvement of my machine. oh and there isn't a wait while me makes them. the following day after placing my order i get this fed ex tracking number, surprising me. the grinding belt now tracks perfect, machine operates much quieter, and leads to a more enjoyable grinding experience.
