If it took that long with a diamond to get sharp Al, then that is a nice hard knife and very abrasion resistant. The cardboard test sounds like a success. If the edge geometry was too steep (doesn't look like it) it would be harder to slice through the cardboard I would surmise from my experience. The lag bolt is fine too as it is softer and that's all that matters. Looks like you have a nice knife Al.

Now it says Guru and it used to say Master. I think I like Master better, though skilled would be the best description
